Holidays at Immanuel

Holidays are great times, especially in the church as we remember important events in the life of Christ—his birth and his resurrection.

I have now experienced my first full-time holiday season working in the church. Both the seasons of Advent and Lent brought with them extra services, more preaching opportunities, and many learning experiences.

Through it all God continues to bless His Church through the ministry of Word and Sacrament. That Jesus humbled himself, took on flesh, and was willing to suffer and die on our behalf is indeed what makes these days holy.

And now we celebrate—He is risen, Halleluiah!
