Growing up in South St. Louis, I have been a life-long Cardinal fan. The way the season went, I had just hoped they would make it in to the playoffs, where anything can happen. An added benefit to the Cardinals making the playoffs was that I was working at the stadium selling souvenirs. The playoffs meant more opportunities, and a bigger paycheck. As the playoffs unfolded, the Cardinals found different ways to win—good pitching, timely hitting, and solid defense. I was fortunate to work one World Series game, a night I will never forget. Congrats to the St. Louis Cardinals on their 10th World Championship.
